Why We Built This Site
Iowa provides several public routes to justice records, but those systems are not interchangeable. The Dickinson County Sheriff's Office maintains local jail, booking, and warrant resources. The Dickinson County Clerk of Court handles public documents in filed Iowa District Court cases. The Iowa Department of Public Safety, Division of Criminal Investigation, maintains the fingerprint-backed state criminal-history repository. Corrections records and Iowa Sex Offender Registry profiles use still other official systems. We organize those distinct contacts, portals, fees when published, and access steps around the record a reader actually needs.

- We cannot submit an expungement application or public-record request for a visitor
- We cannot retrieve a person's record or perform an official background check
- We cannot interpret a specific charge, warrant, or case as legal advice
- We cannot promise that an agency's fee, hours, phone, or address will never change
Only the office that maintains a record, such as the sheriff, clerk, or Iowa DCI, can provide or certify its official copy.
